PGA Tour pro Michael Allen has his caddie, Michael Maroney, tote an extra five pounds in Allen's golf bag for the unique advertising unit that has a video screen, which flashes different ads continuously on the back of the bag.
"The screen has the capability for 3,000 messages," Maroney said.
The ProBagAds are the brainchild of Joe Kirkpatrick, and Allen - at 51 (as of today) the oldest player in the field - said getting big ads has been a challenge.
"It's been a hard sell, but we hope to get teams to advertise," Allen said. "Maybe we can get Wal-Mart, get Sam's Club, do some pro-ams and help charities by making sure every five ads is a charity."
